ZaitCash ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ZaitCash mobile application. This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Phone Number — Required for account creation and authentication via SMS
verification.
- Location Data — Used to show nearby recycling stations on the map. Location is
accessed only while the app is in use and is not stored on our servers.
- Transaction Records — When you drop off used cooking oil (UCO) at a station, we
record the volume collected, cash paid, date, and the station where the drop-off occurred.
- Device Camera — Used solely for scanning QR codes during the drop-off process.
We do not capture, store, or transmit photos or video.
- Transfer Alias — If you choose to receive payments via instant bank transfer, you
may optionally provide a transfer alias (e.g., a CliQ alias in Jordan). This is stored on our
servers and used only to process transfer payments to you.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To authenticate you via phone number verification.
- To display your drop-off history and environmental impact.
- To show nearby active recycling stations.
- To enable station operators to process drop-off transactions.
- To improve the app and our services.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform). We use Firebase
Authentication for identity management and encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data
transmission between the app and our servers.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against
unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for
marketing purposes. Your data may be shared only in these limited cases:
- Station Operators — When you complete a drop-off, the operator sees your phone
number to verify the transaction.
- Service Providers — We use Google Cloud Platform and Firebase to host and
operate the app. These providers process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality
agreements.
- Payment Providers — If you receive payments via bank transfer, your transfer
alias is shared with the relevant licensed payment provider (e.g., Gate2Pay in Jordan) solely
to process the transfer. We do not share any other personal data with payment providers.
- Legal Requirements — We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or
valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active. If you request
account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is
required by law (e.g., financial transaction records may be retained for up to 5 years for
regulatory compliance).
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the app (profile and history pages).

- Withdraw consent by uninstalling the app and requesting account deletion.
7. Children's Privacy
ZaitCash is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal
data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an
updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the
revised policy.
